Like the two posts before me stated, the anime doesn't cover up the whole manga. And regarding your second question, the anime is indeed very good, but I prefer the manga. The anime has some serious pacing problems, not that there are many filler episodes, I just mean that the momentum itself is kinda dragged, most episodes felt really stretched and longer than necessary, due to still images and some slow motion scenes. And while the protagonist Sakuragi is also a idiot in the manga I got the feeling Toei made him even more annoying in the anime adaptation. Anime very good 8/10 manga masterpiece 10/10.
